Transparent Information Practices
At JUMBOO, we believe that a responsible digital space cannot be built without clear, accessible, and traceable information for all users.
Informing with transparency means explaining our choices, contextualizing our decisions, and giving users the keys to understanding in order to exercise critical thinking, protect themselves, and act consciously.
Informing to empower: goals and mechanisms
Our Transparency Goals
Our information policy aims to:
- Make clear every moderation measure, its nature, basis, duration, and appeal procedures;
- Contextualize sensitive or ambiguous content to avoid misunderstandings, moral panics, or manipulation;
- Educate on good digital practices by providing reliable resources and educational tools;
- Promote shared responsibility by showing that every community member has a role to play in balancing the ecosystem.
How We Share Information
1. Warning Screens Placed on violent, shocking, sexualized, or sensitive content Displayed before viewing, with the option to bypass (depending on age and settings) Include a brief explanation and, if necessary, a support resource
2. Context Notes Specify the date, location, or origin of content that may be misinterpreted Indicate whether it is satire, fiction, or editorial content Provide links to external fact-checking or reliable sources
3. Explanation of Moderation Measures Any user affected by an action (removal, reduction, blocking) receives a detailed notification The message includes: the violated rule, nature of the measure, duration, and appeal options In case of error, a human review can be requested at dpo@jumboo.io
