Removing Abusive Content

At JUMBOO, the removal of clearly abusive or illegal content is an absolute priority. We aim to create a safe and respectful online environment, with zero tolerance for harmful content. Report handling is human-led, rigorous, and aligned with global regulatory obligations.

Details on Abuse Removal and Our Commitment

Content Categories Removed Immediately

As soon as a report is made or detection occurs, the following content is removed without delay:

  • Serious offenses & immediate danger
    • Terrorism and incitement to organized violence
    • Sexual exploitation and endangerment of minors (including grooming)
    • Criminal threats and calls for suicide
    • Sharing intimate images without consent
    • Severe or coordinated cyberbullying
  • Clearly unlawful content
    • Hate speech based on protected characteristics
    • Unblurred pornography, exploitative nudity, extreme fetish content
    • Offers of prohibited services or products (drugs, weapons, illegal gambling, trafficking of animals or organs)
    • Content misrepresenting or sexualizing minors
    • Abusive deepfakes (sexual, political, discriminatory)
  • < 1 hour: child sexual exploitation, terrorism, serious threats
  • < 24 hours: other obvious criminal offenses
  • < 72 hours: receipt of court or administrative orders (compliance with Article 9 of the DSA)
  • User reports via the “Report” button on each piece of content
  • Alerts from trusted partners: Point de Contact, eEnfance, NCMEC, Pharos (France), etc.
  • 24/7 human moderation, with no use of AI for final decisions
  • Execution of official orders: judicial authorities, regulators, or law enforcement
Each reported abuse is reviewed manually and confidentially, with prioritization based on severity.
  • Notification to the author (except in cases of ongoing investigations or immediate risk)
  • Progressive sanctions: warning ▸ temporary restriction ▸ permanent suspension
  • Appeal possible: send an email to dpo@jumboo.io
  • Mandatory reporting:
    • To competent authorities, including outside the EU
    • To NCMEC for any content involving minors in the United States
    • To European equivalents:
      • Pharos in France
      • European center dedicated to online child sexual exploitation (currently being structured)
