Introduction and Scope

This document outlines the JUMBOO Community Standards, an ethical and regulatory framework that governs all interactions, posts, and content shared across platforms and services within the JUMBOO ecosystem. Its purpose is to ensure a safe, inclusive, and responsible digital space, one that respects fundamental rights, human dignity, and the social commitments upheld by JUMBOO.

Scope of Application

These rules apply to all products and services operated by JUMBOO, including user profiles (Creators, Individuals, or Businesses), brand pages, thematic groups, community events, private or group messages, publishing spaces (Moods, Kicks), as well as technical interfaces (partner APIs, third-party integrations) and advertising formats hosted on the platform.

These standards complement and specify the Terms of Service (ToS) of JUMBOO. They also form a moderation framework compliant with current regulatory texts, in particular:

This document relies notably on the following regulations:

  • Digital Services Act (DSA – EU 2022/2065), which governs algorithmic transparency, the fight against illegal content, and due diligence obligations for digital platforms operating in Europe. Official link
  • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – EU 2016/679), ensuring the protection of users’ personal data, regardless of their status. Official link
  • Terrorist Content Online Regulation (TCO – EU 2021/784), requiring the prompt removal of content related to the glorification or promotion of terrorist activities. Official link
  • Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA – US), governing copyright protection and notice-and-takedown procedures in the United States. Official link
  • Communications Decency Act, Section 230 (US), defining the responsibilities of content hosts regarding third-party publications. Official link
  • Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA – US) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA – US), protecting the privacy of minors and consumers in California. COPPA link, CCPA link
  • Online Safety Act (2021 – Australia), which imposes high standards for moderation, swift removal of harmful content, and protection of minors. Official link
  • eSafety Commissioner Guidelines (Australia), defining best cybersecurity and risk moderation practices for young and vulnerable users. Official link
  • TVPA (US Trafficking Victims Protection Act), related to the prevention of online trafficking and human exploitation. Official link

This document also aims to anticipate developments in digital law, integrate international best practices in online content regulation, and protect users, moderators, brands, and JUMBOO’s institutional partners. JUMBOO’s internal policies are regularly updated in light of recommendations from organizations such as UNICEF, ICMEC (International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children), INHOPE (global network for reporting child sexual abuse), and national regulators.

All users are required to comply with these standards under penalty of moderation, suspension, or permanent deactivation of their account, depending on the severity and recurrence of violations. Fair appeal channels and an independent external review committee — composed of experts in fundamental rights, digital ethics, and cybersecurity — are available to ensure transparency, fairness, and continuous improvement of community policies.
